Job Description

Our client is currently in the process of appointing a temporary technical adviser to fill in for maternity leave for a period of four months. This is a unique opportunity for a specialist to assist in providing a valuable contribution to the development of corporate governance and company secretaryship in Southern Africa.

Requirements:

  • CIS qualification, legal degree or other relevant qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent knowledge of the King™ Code and Companies Act essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeping abreast of developments in the professional field in order to keep the Institute informed.
  • Develop monthly technical newsletters containing relevant media articles.
  • Organise training in the form of webinars on topics of interest to members and students.
  • Respond to in-house training requests.
  • Provide weekly technical information and guidance to members.
  • Monitor corporate governance-related news through the print and electronic media.
  • Respond to technical enquiries from members.
  • Organise corporate governance conferences and seminars.

  • Ability to build and maintain relations with internal and external clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with detail, accuracy and on multiple tasks in a pressurised environment.
  • Analytical and logical, good project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent comprehension skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with tact and diplomacy.
